Army presented fake B’Haram flag to Buhari - PDP

A group affiliated to the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari for receiving a flag and Quoran of Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau following the liberation of Sambisa Forest by the army.

The PDP group which made the statement via the @voteandstay twitter handle, claimed the flag presented to President Buhari by the army was fake.
The group also described the flag presentation to the president as a disgrace to the sovereignty of Nigeria.
It said the ‘Flag and Quoran are not Shekau's head and queried if Obama could bring back Osama Bin Ladin’s Qoran and Flag without killing him?

Meanwhile, the Nigerian army will be spending N5 billion on the purchase of new weapons in 2017.
Punch reports that this was listed on the 2017 budget proposal presented to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari.
It was also gathered that the army will spend an additional N846 million for the repair of other existing military equipment to help in the fight against terrorism in Nigeria.
Also, the total budget for the Ministry of Defence, the Nigerian army, the Nigerian navy and the Nigerian air force is fixed at N152bn.
