Customs declares two of its officers wanted

The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) has declared two of its officers wanted in connection to the intercepted boxes of rifles in Lagos.
The NCS explained how it intercepted and seized a massive weapons haul of 661 brand new pump-action rifles in Lagos state.

In a press statement delivered by the Comptroller-General of NCS Hameed Ali at a briefing in Lagos on Monday, January 30, the outfit said the guns were intercepted on Sunday, January 22.
The statement read: "On Sunday 22nd January 2017, the Roving Team of the NCS Federal Operations Unit while on information patrol intercepted a Mack truck with registration number BDG 265 XG conveying a 1x40ft Container with Number: PONU/825914/3along Mile 2 Apapa road.
"The truck was immediately taken to the premises of FOU Zone A,Ikeja where Physical examination revealed49 boxes containing a total number of 661 pieces of pump action rifles concealed with steal doors and other merchandize goods."
The Customs confirmed the arrest of three people in connection with the importation of the large arms. They suspects' names were given as: Oscan Okafor (Importer) age 51, Mahmud Hassan (Clearing Agent) age 56 and Sadique Mustapha (who accompanied the consignment to its destination) age 28.
On Tuesday, January 31, the NCS released photos of two of its officers wanted in connection to the illegal importation and urged Nigerians to report to the nearest police station if any of them is sighted.

  Adamawa State Governorship Electoral Petitions Tribunal on Monday, dismissed the petition filed by Dr. Umar Ardo Ardo against Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. The Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party(SDP), Dr. Umar Ardo, his Deputy, Amos Yusuf and SDP filed a petition challenging the governorship election conducted by INEC on the 18th March, 2023. Dr. Ardo, in his petition instituted on the 8th May, 2023 had joined INEC, Fintiri and 16 others as respondents, alleging that the election was not conducted in substantial compliance with the electoral act. The petitioners further alleged that the exercise conducted by the 1st respondent was marred by corrupt practices(bribery), threats and violence and however sought the nullification of the entire exercise. On their part, 1st to 4th respondents, told the tribunal that the petition is statue barred which cannot be entertained by tribunal, alleging that the petition is not supported with evidence and not filed in compliance

TROOPS OF OPERATION UDO KA II CLEARED IPOB/ESN CAMPS... recovers fresh and old corpses

Troops of Joint Task Force South East Operation UDO KA II on Sunday, 1 October 2023 cleared 4 notorious camps of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and it's armed affiliates the Eastern Security Network (ESN) in Ihube, Aku and Umulolo in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State.  During the clearance operation troops encountered many Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs) enroute the camps. However, due to superior firepower, the irredentist fled into neighbouring forests with Gun Shot Wounds. It was discovered that the camps were being used to perpetuate atrocities such as cannibalism, occultic practices and ritual killings to instil fears into the law abiding citizens. These were evident from many fresh and old corpses discovered while clearing the entire camps. Also The houses of the 2 spiritual leaders/herbalists ( *Dibias* ) that took to their heels were destroyed. Furthermore , the shrine of the wanted terrorist Amobi Chinoso Okafor AKA Temple where human sacrifices are
