Uwazuruike blasts Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB

Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has lashed out at Nnamdi Kanu and the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) for alleging that he was one of the masked witnesses that will testify against the pro-Biafra leader.
The Punch reports that the leader of the Movement for the Actualisation for a Sovereign State Of Biafra (MASSOB) said he would not need to wear a mask he wanted to testify against Kanu.

He described Kanu and IPOB members as fraudsters who are out to milk gullible people.

Uazuruike’s reaction is coming following allegations contained in a statement released by Emma Powerful on Behalf of IPOB that the MASSOB leader and some other persons were the masked men to testify against Kanu when he appears before Justice Binta Nyako in Abuja.

Meanwhile, Kanu asked a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to squash all chargesleveled against him by the Federal Government.

Speaking in court on Tuesday, January 10, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Kanu’s lawyer said all the six-count charges against Kanu were baseless.

Ejiofor who brought applications before the court also said his client’s relatives and visitors were either being harassed or arrested by security agents in Kuje prison.

Kanu’s counsel alleged threat and intimidation to his personal life and that of his family by members of the Department of State Securities.

At the commencement of the trial against Kanu and three others, Ejiofor told the court that on several occasions members of IPOB and relatives of the defendants have been harassed and arrested by security officials during their visit to Kanu in Kuje prison.

He also said he suspects that those arrested have been killed by the security operatives.

JUST IN: TRIBUNAL DISMISSES DR. ARDO's PETITION AGAINST FINTIRI

Adamawa State Governorship Electoral Petitions Tribunal on Monday, dismissed the petition filed by Dr. Umar Ardo Ardo against Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. The Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party(SDP), Dr. Umar Ardo, his Deputy, Amos Yusuf and SDP filed a petition challenging the governorship election conducted by INEC on the 18th March, 2023. Dr. Ardo, in his petition instituted on the 8th May, 2023 had joined INEC, Fintiri and 16 others as respondents, alleging that the election was not conducted in substantial compliance with the electoral act. The petitioners further alleged that the exercise conducted by the 1st respondent was marred by corrupt practices(bribery), threats and violence and however sought the nullification of the entire exercise. On their part, 1st to 4th respondents, told the tribunal that the petition is statue barred which cannot be entertained by tribunal, alleging that the petition is not supported with evidence and not filed in compliance

TROOPS OF OPERATION UDO KA II CLEARED IPOB/ESN CAMPS... recovers fresh and old corpses

Troops of Joint Task Force South East Operation UDO KA II on Sunday, 1 October 2023 cleared 4 notorious camps of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and it's armed affiliates the Eastern Security Network (ESN) in Ihube, Aku and Umulolo in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State. During the clearance operation troops encountered many Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs) enroute the camps. However, due to superior firepower, the irredentist fled into neighbouring forests with Gun Shot Wounds. It was discovered that the camps were being used to perpetuate atrocities such as cannibalism, occultic practices and ritual killings to instil fears into the law abiding citizens.
