EFCC discovers another set of vehicles from ex-customs boss

Just about six days after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recovered 17 exotic cars from a warehouse reportedly owned byAbdullahi Dikko Inde, former comptroller-general of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), another set of vehicles, tricycles and motorcycles, have been reportedly seized from him.

The EFCC said the second recovery was made between Monday, February 27 and Tuesday, February 28 in another warehouse allegedly belonging to the former customs boss.
The fresh items include a 2013 model 32-seater Nissan bus, 42 cargo tricycles, one tipper truck, 16 motorcycles, over 500 rug carpets and two fire-proof safes.
The zonal head of EFCC in Kaduna, Bappa Ibrahim, as saying that the EFCC swung into action following a tip-off.
He confirmed that the EFCC was investigating the former customs boss and that the second set of items were recovered from a warehouse, off Nnamdi Azikwe expressway, around NASFAT village in Igabi local government area of Kaduna state.

Contained in the two safes were documents, an iron stamp, 50 and 20 naira notes, amounting to N1,560 and polythene bags.
The EFCC zonal head did not give details of the contents of the documents found in the safe since investigation was still ongoing.
“The fresh operation, which started on Monday, 27th February, 2017 till today is a continuation of last week operation, which led to recovery of 17 exotic vehicles,” he said while urging the public to continue to assist with information that would make the EFCC successful.
The anti-graft agency listed the recovered items as:
1. 42 brand new customized yellow-coloured tricycles
2. 16 brand new cargo motorcycles
3. 1 brand new white 32-seater Nissan civilian bus
4. 1 MAN Diesel Truck
5. 515 brand new imported rugs of different colours and sizes
6. Two metal bullet proof safe with the sum of N 1,565
7. Documents of transactions in different currencies within and outside the country.

Kano university students riot after local life savers failed to save drowning student
