Anderson Umezurike Ezeibe confam dis tori to BBC Pidgin on Thursday say, e get "three standard issues" wey go warrant dis strike.

Di ASUP National President add say "our members ready to stop work anytime wey di national executive council give di directive."

ASUP sister union Academic Staff Union of Universities [ASUU] begin strike early dis week, and now di polytechnic union dey threaten to begin dia own.

BBC Pidgin seek to find out why di polytechnic lecturers union dey plan to go on strike at dis time, and Oga Ezeibe say, "e no dey correct to say ASUP dey plan strike sake of ASUU begin new strike."


E add say every group for di education sector get dia own demands.

Ezeibe say dem dey fight for three main agreements.

JUST IN: TRIBUNAL DISMISSES DR. ARDO's PETITION AGAINST FINTIRI

  Adamawa State Governorship Electoral Petitions Tribunal on Monday, dismissed the petition filed by Dr. Umar Ardo Ardo against Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. The Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party(SDP), Dr. Umar Ardo, his Deputy, Amos Yusuf and SDP filed a petition challenging the governorship election conducted by INEC on the 18th March, 2023. Dr. Ardo, in his petition instituted on the 8th May, 2023 had joined INEC, Fintiri and 16 others as respondents, alleging that the election was not conducted in substantial compliance with the electoral act. The petitioners further alleged that the exercise conducted by the 1st respondent was marred by corrupt practices(bribery), threats and violence and however sought the nullification of the entire exercise. On their part, 1st to 4th respondents, told the tribunal that the petition is statue barred which cannot be entertained by tribunal, alleging that the petition is not supported with evidence and not filed in compliance

TROOPS OF OPERATION UDO KA II CLEARED IPOB/ESN CAMPS... recovers fresh and old corpses

Troops of Joint Task Force South East Operation UDO KA II on Sunday, 1 October 2023 cleared 4 notorious camps of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and it's armed affiliates the Eastern Security Network (ESN) in Ihube, Aku and Umulolo in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State.  During the clearance operation troops encountered many Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs) enroute the camps. These were evident from many fresh and old corpses discovered while clearing the entire camps.
